Arvigo Technique of Maya Abdominal Therapy® (ATMAT):
ATMAT is a non-invasive massage technique that realigns the abdominal and pelvic organs, while also enhancing circulation and nervous system function. ATMAT can guide the uterus back to proper position.
Organ function is improved by releasing physical and emotional congestion from the abdomen. Patients describe this treatment as both relaxing and energizing. The abdominal massage applications move congested lymph fluid, oxygenate blood, increase immune function and maintain proper nerve flow in pelvic organs.
ATMAT addresses muscle tension in the abdominal region, low back and gluteal region. Conditions ATMAT is helpful for include: painful or irregular menstrual cycles, endometriosis, fibroids, displaced or prolapsed uterus or bladder, infertility, PMS, miscarriages or difficult pregnancies, ovarian cysts, pain during intercourse, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), Prostatitis (mild), low back pain, pelvic heaviness or instability, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), abdominal discomfort or pain, constipation, emotional holding patterns, trauma.
ATMAT treatment is not recommended on days when a woman is menstruating, when there is active pelvic infection or 8-12 weeks after abdominal surgery, or if a woman has an IUD or other metal in the abdominal cavity.
